Radio Times in Review: Dog Edition

Listen 00:48:46

Guests: Alexandra Horowitz, Jon Katz, Susan Orlean

On today’s Radio Times in Review, we’ll feature three stories about dogs. First, we’ll hear from cognitive scientist ALEXANDRA HOROWITZ. Her work explores the minds of dogs, which she discussed in her book Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell and Know. We’ll also hear Marty’s 2003 interview with author JON KATZ, who joined us to discuss what he calls the new work of dogs; that of emotional support for their owners. And lastly, we’ll listen back to Marty’s interview with SUSAN ORLEAN, about one of history’s most famous canines, Rin Tin Tin. She joined us a few years ago to give listeners insight into the life and times of the four-legged movie star.
