Guests: Emily Tamkin, Edward Alden

President Trump met with UK’s Prime Minister in Philadelphia on Thursday, and on Friday will discuss how the U.S. and Britain will tackle trade in the Trump-Brexit era. The election of Trump and the victory of the Brexit vote are the most high-profile examples of the triumph of the populist and nationalist movement sweeping the globe. Far-right French Presidential candidate, Marine Le Pen is also grabbing headlines with her campaign. Today on the show, we’ll get an update on Brexit,  discuss at the populism sweeping the world, and examine some of the root causes of this new movement. We’ll also discuss Mexican President Peña Nieto’s cancellation of his meeting with Trump and what that portends for U.S.-Mexico relations.  Joining us will be EMILY TAMKIN, staff writer for Foreign Policy and EDWARD ALDEN, Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
