    Hour 1

[Correction below] Five of the 17 incumbents on Philadelphia City Council are retiring, including Council President Anna Verna. That has yielded a surprising number of open seats and competitive races. More than 70 candidates filed papers to run, though some have since dropped out. On today’s Radio Times, we preview the races and issues, with NewsWorks/WHYY Senior reporter DAVE DAVIES, Philadelphia Inquirer City Hall Bureau Chief and Heard in the Hall blogger MARCIA GELBART and Philadelphia Daily News political writer and Clout columnist CHRIS BRENNAN.

[Correction: Eighth District candidate Howard Treatman lives in Germantown, not Chestnut Hill; we regret and apologize for the error.]
