Philadelphia City Council session postmortem

There’s no summer vacation at Philadelphia City Hall. So says our guest Philadelphia City Councilman-at-large JAMES KENNEY. The past Council’s session ended last Thursday, June 18th. But the Council still has a lot of work ahead of them. Issues such as the Board of Revision of Taxes oversight; elected officials are still allowed in the city DROP program; plastic bags are still legal in Philadelphia; and the city is awaiting permission from Harrisburg to increase the sales tax from 7% to 8%. City councilmen CURTIS JONES, JR., DARRELL CLARKE and JAMES KENNEY to join us to discuss their last session, what they’re working on this summer and what they look forward to doing when Council convenes in September.
