Pat Toomey, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in PA, plus political analysis

    Listen

    Hour 1

PAT TOOMEY is running for the Senate seat long held by Arlen Specter. Toomey’s strong showing against Specter six years ago, and polling showing he had an advantage in the runup to the May primary, convinced Specter to leave the Republican Party, only to lose in the May primary to his Democratic challenger, Joe Sestak. Now Toomey, a former Congressman and chairman of the conservative antitax group Club for Growth, is leading Sestak in the polls. We’ll also get some political observation and analysis of the most important races in Pennsylvania and the nation from SEAN TRENDE of RealClearPolitics.com and STEPHEN MEDVIC, chair of Franklin & Marshall College’s Government department.
