NASA Tests Theories of Relativity

Two of Einstein’s relativity theories check out based on NASA’s Gravity Probe B experiments. The Gravity Probe B instruments are incredibly sensitive so we can find out more than we ever have before, but in order to understand Einstein’s theories we need to understand space time. Derrick gives a great example that even non-astronomers can follow. We now have proof that Einstein’s theory of relativity is valid, but could Einstein’s theories ever be proven invalid or overturned? The beauty of science is that the process of testing these theories will never stop.  Also, don’t miss what’s in the night sky this week.
