Moderate Voters

With the general election underway, both presumptive presidential candidates, John McCain and Barack Obama, are trying to attract moderate voters to their campaigns. We discuss the politics of steering to the center, what it means for each candidate’s base voters, and what moderate voters want. Our guests are MATT BENNETT, Vice President for Public Affairs for Third Way, a center-left think tank and CHARLES BASS, President and CEO of the Republican Main Street Partnership, a caucus of moderate Republicans. He is a former six-term Member of Congress from New Hampshire.
