Guest: Mark Bowden

Journalist MARK BOWDEN joins Marty to discuss a notorious 1975 double murder of two young sisters who were kidnapped from a Washington D.C. shopping mall. Bowden covered the murder as a young reporter, and the fact that it remained unsolved for decades haunted him through the years. But when an overlooked witness statement by a convicted pedophile and pathological liar came to light in 2013, things changed. Bowden, the author of Black Hawk Down and Hue, 1968, tells the story of the investigation, the determined cold-case detectives, and their interrogation of the suspect, Lloyd Welch, in his book, The Last Stone: A Masterpiece of Criminal Interrogation.
