Housing market recovery?

Listen

Guests: Todd Sinai, Stan Humphries
Home prices are increasing at their fastest rate since 2006.  According to the S&P Case-Shiller Index of 20 U.S. cities, prices for a single family house rose 9.3 percent from February 2012 to February 2013.  Near-record-low interest rates and a shortage of inventory are fueling the recovery but is the housing market really back? What does it mean for sellers, buyers and the economy at large?  And, what about all those homeowners who are still underwater?  This hour, we’ll talk about the housing market rebound with TODD SINAI, Associate Professor of real Estate and Business Economics Wharton School and STAN HUMPHRIES, chief economist for Zillow.
