Campaign for U.S. House

There is less than a month before the mid-term elections. WHYY will televise two debates this month as part of our Decision 2014 coverage. One for Attorney General and the other for US Senate. Another race facing voters is for Delaware’s lone seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. First Look focuses on the difference in the two major party candidates running for that seat.

Seashore Mallow

Delaware officials say sea-level rise is a top priority. Projections show a portion of the state will eventually be covered by water. Today, at one farm in Milford, occasional flooding from nor’easters and hurricanes is already ruining crops.

Decision 2014: Chris Coons

Chris Coons was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010. He is running now for a full 6 year term. As part of WHYY’s coverage of Decision 2014, we have Chris Coons in studio with us. We look at his accomplishments as well as goals if re-elected.

Ending Domestic Violence

Former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice’s much publicized elevator video has heightened domestic abuse awareness. October is dedicated to calling attention to ending domestic violence. While some groups work to stop abuse, others are working on healing.

First Experience: Monsters, Mayhem and Superstition

The leaves are starting to turn, there is a chill in the air and Halloween is right around the corner. But Halloween isn’t just for the kiddies is it? The Newark Arts Alliance doesn’t think so. Their new show ‘Monsters, Mayhem and Superstition’ looks at the darker side of Halloween, through what they do best: art. First Experience stops by this week to take in the spooky sights.
