Stolen Art

Time is running out to catch a unique art exhibit of stolen Italian artifacts making its US debut, right here in Delaware. The pieces were recovered by the Italian government and are currently on display at The Grand Opera House and the University of Delaware. This week’s First Look takes you inside “Treasures and Tales of Italy’s Art Recovery Team.”

Slam Dunk returns

It’s back, the Delaware sports tradition that drew hundreds of basketball fans to Sussex County returns this year. After a decade-long break, the Slam Dunk to the Beach will draw some of the best high school basketball teams to the First State between Christmas and New Years. It’s part of a calculated effort to put Delaware on the youth sports map. It’s also our content partner story this month with Delaware Today Magazine.

Content Delaware

Earlier in the program we reported on the art show at the Grand Opera House. There’s a reason why it was chosen to house that exhibit. It has to do with the name in the title, Grand. Our video partner Content Delaware gets the ‘Grand’ perspective from Executive Director Steve Bailey.

First Experience: Costumes of Downton Abbey

If clothes make the man, or woman, than people living in the world of Downton Abbey have it made. As viewers eagerly anticipate the start of the new season of the smash PBS show next year, the Winterthur Museum has given us an up close view of the wardrobes worn by the cast. First Experience shares the exhibit.
