David Morris on “The Evil Hours”

Listen

Guest: David Morris

[From the Radio Times archive] Marine infantry officer DAVID MORRIS suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after being embedded as a journalist in Iraq and Afghanistan. Returning home and struggling with the illness, Morris began to explore PTSD, its medical and cultural history. He spoke with researchers and survivors, not only combat veterans but people victims of rape, domestic abuse and natural disasters. Morris spoke with Marty earlier this year about his new book, The Evil Hours: A Biography of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
