Christmas Time is Here!

How are we introduced to music? Many of us may not be familiar with music genres without TV cartoons. Think Wagner, Bugs Bunny and Opera. Or “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and jazz. What started out as a barroom conversation, over 13 years later The Cartoon Christmas Trio has been dusting off and performing their favorite Christmas music, including songs from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” to live audiences who grew up with those TV specials. Cartoon Christmas Trio bassist ROB SWANSON, pianist JEFF KNOETTNER and drummer JACKIE BROWNE are professional, full time musicians and educators in the Greater Philadelphia Region. The trio also participates in Cartoon-to-Jazz workshops in local schools. Their new CD is called the Cartoon Christmas Trio. Listen to the mp3
