We talk about black feminism and what makes it distinct from white feminism with BRITTNEY COOPER and FEMINISTA JONES. Cooper is an associate professor of women’s and gender studies at Rutgers University and author of the book Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower. Jones is a social worker and activist and the author of Reclaiming Our Space: How Black Feminists Are Changing the World from the Tweets to the Streets. We’ll discuss the goals and methods of black feminists, the #MeToo movement, the record number of women in Congress, and the upcoming Women’s March.
