Biking Philly

Listen 00:48:44

Guest: Andrew Stober, Megan Rosenbach, Andrew Johnson

You may have noticed a lot of blue 3-speed bikes cruising around Philadelphia. They’re part of the city’s new bike share that launched earlier this month. With 500 bikes parked at 67 different locations, people can pay to take them on short commutes around town. On today’s show we’ll check in on the bike share and talk about ways to make Philadelphia safer for cyclists. We’ll also learn about some new trails and favorite rides in our region. Guest host Mary Cummings-Jordan talks with ANDREW STOBER, former chief of staff for Philadelphia’s Office of Transportation and Utilities, MEGAN ROSENBACH, education director at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, and ANDREW JOHNSON, a program director for the William Penn Foundation.
