Ballot Talks: Kathleen Kane, Senate race, and budget impasse

Listen 00:48:43

Guests: John Micek, Wallace McKelvey, Chris Potter

In this week’s edition of Ballot Talks: we take a look at politics in the keystone state including the attorney general race, the U.S. senate race, and the state budget impasse. Pennsylvania attorney general Kathleen Kane has signaled that she wants to seek re-election despite the suspension of her law license. And we’ll discuss the U.S. senate race with three democrats vying to face off with Republican U.S. Senator Pat Toomey. But first we’ll get an update on the Pennsylvania budget – or lack thereof with the stalemate now entering its seventh month. Marty’s guests are JOHN MICEK, editor of the editorial and opinion pages for The Patriot-News and PennLive, WALLACE MCKELVEY, statehouse reporter for PennLive, and CHRIS POTTER, staff writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
