A conversation with food writer Ruth Reichl

Listen 00:48:44

Guest: Ruth Reichl

[From the Radio Times archive] When Gourmet magazine folded in 2009, its editor RUTH REICHL found herself without a job for the first time in 30 years. She worried about the future and wondered what she would do with her life. So she retreated to her kitchen and learned about Twitter. The result is My Kitchen Year: 136 Recipes That Changed My Life. It’s part cookbook, part memoir and includes tweets from the day she cooked each of the recipes featured. Reichl returned to Radio Times to talk with Marty about her life, her career and food. They spoke last month. **Radio Times is preempted live today, but you can hear this conversation on Sirius XM 122 from 9pm-10pm ET.
