Listen 00:48:44

Guests: Nnamdi Chukwuocha and Al Mills

NNAMDI CHUKWUOCHA and AL MILLS were named Delaware’s 17th poets laureate by Governor Jack Markell last December. Deemed the ‘Twin Poets,’ the brothers will speak with Marty about their poetry, being named the First State’s poets laureate, perform some selections of their work, and discuss their careers as social workers and community leaders in Wilmington. Their rhythmic style of poetry delves into issues such as poverty, violence, and the criminal justice system and the two plan to use their art to foster change.
