Previewing tomorrow’s NJ and PA elections and what the outcome says about 2016

    Hour 1

Guests:  Matt Katz, John Baer and Dave Davies

Voters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey go to the polls tomorrow. All eyes will be on New Jersey where Democrat Barbara Buono is running against incumbent Governor Chris Christie who in recent interviews says he hasn’t ruled out a run for the presidency in 2016. In the Commonwealth, voters will cast ballots on the election of municipal officials and the retention of state judges. In the troubled State Supreme Court, voters will be asked whether or not to retain for 10 years Chief Justice Ron Castille and Justice Max Baer, both of whom are nearing mandatory retirement age. In Philadelphia, incumbent District Attorney Seth Williams is running against Republican Daniel Alvarez and ballots will also be cast for City Controller, Judge of Common Pleas, and Judge of Municipal Court. This morning on Radio Times, we’ll preview tomorrow’s elections and then ask what the outcomes mean for the 2016 Pennsylvania Gubernatorial race and Presidential election. We’re joined by Inquirer reporter MATT KATZ who covers Governor Christie, JOHN BAER of the Daily News, and WHYY’s DAVE DAVIES.
