ZCC posts the draft preliminary report to City Council

The purple line isn’t just a Chicago Transit Authority express train. Having worked through three letters of ROYGBIV, the ZCC has issued a “purple-line” draft of its preliminary report to City Council. This report contains the entirety of the city’s new zoning law, as it stands now. The ZCC is still working on some issues, including the entirety of sign controls, and after the code goes to City Council for public hearings, expect the ZCC to suggest some further tweaks.

And this time, the change memo is only 15 pages–much less bulky than the green line edition. Get reading quick, because the ZCC vote is scheduled for next Wednesday, May 11 at 8:00 a.m. 1515 Arch Street, 18th Floor.
