Woodland Ferry ready for service

The Woodland Ferry will once again take cars across the Nanticoke River in Seaford beginning Monday.

The ferry has been in drydock since December.  It’s had several problems with leaking oil.  DelDot operates the ferry and says it will be monitoring the boats.  Because of that the ferry will be operating on a flexible, not fixed schedule.

The ferry Tina Fallon will operate 7 days a week between 7am-6:30pm.  DelDot says the ferry can not operate during excessive low and high tides.

The Coast Guard certified the Woodland Ferry as operational on June 24th.
