Woman arrested in connection with West Oak Lane bar brawl

Philadelphia Police announced on Thursday that a 41-year-old woman was arrested in connection with an Oct. 1 aggravated assault which occurred at Whispers Bar in West Oak Lane.

According to the 23-year-old victim, a woman later identified as Crystal Williams approached her from behind and “began punching her in the head and body” just after 10 p.m.

“When other patrons attempted to break up the fight, the suspect threw a pint glass hitting the complainant above her right eye causing a large laceration,” according to investigators.

Though the assailant took off from Whispers Bar on foot, surveillance-camera images helped lead to the identification of Williams, from the 1900 block of Renovo St.
