Wolf, Corbett cross state in final-day campaigning

Democrat Tom Wolf and Republican Gov. Tom Corbett are heading across Pennsylvania in their final day of campaigning before voters decide who will be governor for the next four years.

Monday’s events include appearances by Wolf in Lancaster and Pittsburgh, while Corbett will get on a plane to visit rallies in every media market before ending his day in his hometown of Pittsburgh. The election is Tuesday.

The candidates had a busy weekend of campaigning, much of it in southeastern Pennsylvania. Wolf was joined by President Barack Obama at a rally at Temple University that drew thousands.

Wolf says he can do a better job steering Pennsylvania’s economy, and pledges to boost the state’s spending on education. Corbett says his second-term agenda would include trying to privatize wine and liquor sales and paring back public pension promises.
