With Xerox contract, Parking Authority will get more web-friendly
A contract with Xerox means the Philadelphia Parking Authority is on track to become more web-friendly and — could it be? — more accurate in ticket-writing.
According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the seven-year, $75 million contract will allow people to apply for parking permits, schedule hearings and view information about their tickets.
And that information about their tickets will come from new handheld ticketing devices. PPA enforcers will be able to take photos provide GPS coordinates with those devices.
