Wissinoming man stabbed in Northern Liberties

A Wissinoming man was stabbed Monday in Northern Liberties. According to a police report, Edward Prescott was sitting on steps early that evening when a man approached and stabbed him.Prescott, 56, was at Seventh and Brown streets around 6 p.m. when he was stabbed in the chest. He made his way to a nearby house where he died. Another man was stabbed shortly after, and remains hospitalized. Both attacks appear to be random.
