Winter’s ‘colorful gems’ on display at Morris Arboretum
Even in the middle of a cold winter, dozens of blooming witch hazels can be found at Chestnut Hill’s Morris Arboretum.
Featuring a variety of fragrant spicy, citrusy scents and bright colors, witch hazels bloom during winter’s sunny days. The plants are, according to the arboretum, the “colorful gems” of winter.
Visitors can follow a scavenger hunt to discover the extensive collection of witch hazels on display while learning about the plant’s natural healing powers.
