Wingin’ it at annual Chicken Festival in Delaware

The two-day event celebrating all things chicken is expected to draw 20-thousand visitors.

The 62nd annual Delmarva Chicken Festival comes home to roost in Georgetown Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Activities this year include carnival rides and games, a baby chick display and a cooking demonstration titled Chicken Meets the Chef, where it’s likely the samples will consist of… you guessed it… chicken.

The Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce hosts the festival on the campus of the Delmarva Christian High School on Airport Road.

The fowl event began in 1948.
