Wilmington snow update

Delawareans survived this latest round of snowfall.

Wilmington’s Department of Public Works said it worked throughout the night to clear major and secondary roads.

Mayor James Baker’s communications director John Rago told us, “We pretty much have everything under control. We haven’t had any issues in the city, no emergencies thank God.”

Rago asked drivers, though, to continue to use extreme caution on the roads.

Still, Delaware state government offices are opening an hour late, at 10 a.m. today, in Kent and New Castle Counties.
