When we got our first look at the Philadelphia Housing Authority’s evacuation-and-dust zone map for this weekend’s Queen Lane Apartments implosion, one question immediately came to mind:

Where can we get a clear view to watch the building get taken down at 7:15 a.m. Saturday?

Several nearby spots, just outside of the dust zone, immediately jumped out. They are as follows:

— Hansberry St. at Pulaski Ave.

— Earlham Ave. at Pulaski aves.

— W. Queen Lane and McKean Ave.

— The West Queen Lane side of the Queen Lane regional-rail stop (near Wissahickon Ave.) and

— Coulter and Alfred sts.

There are certainly more places from which to watch. Do you know of others? Please email us (subject line: Queen Lane Implosion Views) or add them to the comments of this article.
