Whatever was roaming around Delaware County, it wasn’t a mountain lion

Two calls police sent multiple police cruisers and animal control officers to Valley Road and Wilde Avenue in Delaware County yesterday, but one hour later it became clear: whatever callers had seen roaming around wasn’t a mountain lion.

The Delco Times reports the animal — spotted in two locations — could very well have been one of the dogs involved in a fight nearby. There was no mountain lion, bobcat or anything else resembling a large feline in the area when Upper Darby police did a search.

But we do like the comment from Delco resident “Judge Smalls,” who wrote, Tomorrow’s DelcoTimes “Upper Darby Resident Attacked by Mountain Lion.
