Wallet containing $420 and ID info stolen off counter at East Mt. Airy deli

Police are seeking a suspect for a theft that occured in East Mt. Airy on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 11:40 p.m. 

The complainant, a 24 year-old male was inside the Chew Deli and Market, 6302 Chew Ave. He left the counter momentarily, leaving his wallet behind on the counter. 

At that time an unknown black male approached the counter to pay for his itmes and seeing the wallet, picked it up and fled the strore in an unknown direction. 

The wallet contained $420 and identification.

The suspect is descibed as a 6’0″ black male in his early 20s with a thin build, medium/dark complexion and light mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt, with “Nautica” on the front in white letters, blue jeans and black sneakers.
