Victim ‘critical’ after Neptune shooting, police say

Authorities are investigating a shooting in Neptune this evening.
According to a release from the Neptune Township Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on the 1300 block of 7th Avenue.
The victim was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with a single gunshot wound, the release said.
Police did not immediately release the gender of the victim, who is currently listed in critical condition.
