Veterans Day event in Milford

Delaware Hospice Center hosts local author Nancy Lynch for a unique presentation ahead of Veterans Day.

Lynch authored Vietnam Mailbag, a compilation of letters she received from Delaware soldiers fighting in Vietnam when she was a young reporter for The News Journal. The letters appeared in her “Vietnam Mailbag” column which provided first-person accounts for people back home.

Delaware Hospice’s mission is to improve the quality of life for veterans who are managing life-limiting illnesses. And in honor of Veteran’s Day, Delaware Hospice has asked Nancy Lynch to reopen the “Vietnam Mailbag” and share excerpts of the stories she received from service men over 40 years ago.
