Valentine’s Day puts a local flower shop into overdrive

Valentine’s Day is an important day for couples but it is also make-or-break day for flower shops. On average flower shops generate almost a third of their annual sales around Valentine’s Day.

At Robertson’s Flowers of Chestnut Hill today is expected to be the busiest day of the year.

We wanted to see for ourselves what it’s like for a flower shop around Valentine’s Day. University of the Arts student, Andrew Cameron Zahn stopped by Robertson’s Flowers at 8501 Germantown Avenue on Friday and discovered the staff is moving quicker than you might imagine.
