UD warns of phishing scam

The University of Delaware is warning students of a phishing scam arriving in campus email inboxes.

The school’s Information Technologies department says the emails started arriving on campus last week, and appears to be specifically targeting UD students.  The subject line of the phishing email says “Your Webmail Account is on Restriction.”  The IT department says students should immediately delete the email without opening it or clicking any links in the message.  They say the scam is designed to harvest personal information.
