UC Review: “Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll” Will Highlight West Philly’s Unique Offerings

15 Baltimore Avenue destinations will offer $1 deals – from ice cream to yoga to international cuisine – every second Thursday in June, July and August.

University City District (UCD) is announcing the launch the summer Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll happening on June 10, July 8 and August 12 from 5:30 to 8:30pm. On these second Thursdays, Baltimore Avenue in West Philadelphia will be celebrating its distinctiveness with one-night-only bargains. The special $1 items are as eclectic as the fifteen businesses offering them. From $1 scoops of ice cream to $1 records to $1 tofu skewers to $1 yoga classes, these nights are sure to be festive. Whether you meet up with your friends at Dock Street or Dahlak or explore the one-of-a-kind gifts at VIX Emporium or Young love’s, it’ll be easy to recognize what the buzz is all about.

Studio 34’s Stephen Fisher says, “We are very excited about the Baltimore Avenue Stroll. Promotions of this nature will help to introduce new customers to our business, increasing our customer base, and will help to promote the Avenue as a destination, which is a goal shared amongst the many diverse Baltimore Avenue businesses.”

The Baltimore Avenue Stroll is produced by University City District and sponsored by Campus Philly, Grid Magazine, Philadelphia Weekly and UC Review. See below for participating businesses or visit www.universitycity.org for more information.
