Two shot near Simons Playground yesterday
Two men were shot on East Tulpehocken Street near Woolston Avenue in West Oak Lane Tuesday morning, in an incident that wasn’t reported to police until hours later.
A police spokeswoman said a 22-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and side of the neck, and an 18-year-old man took a bullet to the hand around 11:30 a.m. The incident occurred near the Simons Playground.
They were both treated for injuries at Albert Einstein Medical Center, where police responded to take a report after 4 p.m.
No suspect description was available on Wednesday, but police said the victims reported a prior assault had occurred.
