Welsh Road near Roosevelt Boulevard saw two spats of violence early last night.

First, as reported by Action News, just after 4:30 p.m., police say a man entered the Bluegrass Pharmacy on the 2400-block of Welsh Road near the Northeast Shopping Center and fired a single bullet into the ceiling, demanding drugs. Police say he left with five thousand dollars worth of oxycontin and percocet. No one was hurt.

Then, hours later, just before 7 p.m., a man with a gunshot wound in his stomach was found in a gas station parking lot at the intersection of Welsh and the Boulevard. The 23-year-old was transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital. Further details haven’t yet been released, according to Action News.
