Ridge Avenue in Roxborough has opened back up at Manatawna Avenue after being shut down for an early-morning fire in a nearby strip mall.

Fire crews arrived on the scene around 3:30 a.m. to a fire in a one-story building at 8919 Ridge Ave.

The blaze quickly spread to a two-alarm fire damaging Pinki nail salon, Lucky Star restaurant, a bingo hall and a cigar shop.

Capt. Jeffrey Thompson of the Philadelphia Fire Department said two firefighters suffered minor injuries while fighting the blaze and are now in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
