NJ Turnpike re-opened near Route 73

The New Jersey State Patrol announced that all lanes have been re-opened on the NJ Turnpike near Route 73.

Earlier this morning two accidents shut down the New Jersey Turnpike in both directions.

The first accident involved a tractor-trailer and two cars in the northbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike around 8:20 a.m. 

The second accident happened about an hour after the first on the southbound lanes of the turnpike in Cherry Hill. It also involved an overturned tractor-trailer.

No word on what caused the accidents. One person is seriously injured, others received minor injuries, according to state police.
