Trees cut down at 40th and Market: They will be replanted

UC Review: Trees cut down at 40th and Market: They will be replanted

For those UCity residents who noticed that the 75 trees UC Green volunteers planted in 2007 at 40th and Market Sts were cut down, they can rest somewhat reassured.

“They will be replanted”, explained the Science Center’s Curt Hess, adding that the Science Center will also pick up the tab.

“It’s a temporary setback,” said the UC Green’s Executive Director, Susan Pringle, adding that there weren’t any hard feelings on the UC Greens behalf, “because the Science Center is doing something really good for Market Street.”
