1. Neighborhood Interfaith Movement closes after more than 40 years of operation

In conjunction with a web of congregations and faith-based groups, the Mt. Airy-based nonprofit provided support to those most in need. 3. $1 million bail and Dec. court date set for former police officer charged with child luring

Roxborough resident and former Philadelphia Police Inspector Leo Haley was arrested earlier this month after he allegedly attempted to lure a young girl into his car. On Tuesday, the 72 year old appeared in Philadelphia Municipal Court for his preliminary hearing.  Check out Matthew Grady’s story to learn more about the case.

4. Triumph Baptist senior-housing plan approved, but Rev. Hall can’t discuss it

The Nicetown church’s long-awaited zoning victory will enable developers to build a two-building complex to be called Triumph’s Victory Village. The church has owned the property for nearly 15 years. 5. Woman found guilty of assaulting NewsWorks freelancer on bus in Germantown

In late May, Cassie Darby attacked a man on a SEPTA Route 23 bus. She was arrested not long afterwards. This week, the 15-second incident, caught on surveillance tape, landed Darby in jail. Check out Aaron Moselle’s story to learn more about the end of the multi-month case.
