1. Six teens from Manayunk soccer program heading to Brazil for World Cup festivities

It’s a big, big year for soccer fans across the globe as the World Cup returns this summer. For six players from Manayunk’s Starfinder Foundation, it’ll be a particularly memorable tournament. Through Sunday, an exhibit at First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG) will offer up a collection of artistically rendered church vestments representing the lives of gay, lesbian and transgender people of faith.
