Here’s a look at what’s to come on NewsWorks this week:

1. With July 4th just around the bend, we’ll bring you a guide to the Independence Day activities unfolding in Northwest Philadelphia. The area will host parades, historic tours and a hike to Independence Hall. Check back this week for the full details.

2. On Saturday, the Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill opened up an exhibit focused on the circus, the first of which was held in Philadelphia in the late 18th century. The exhibit included circus trains and lessons on the history of the circus.

3. Also on Saturday, the Foodery, a new gourmet food market on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, hosted its first-ever musical act. Give Me Gravity, a band from nearby Manayunk. Check back this week for a recap and photos.
