Three Wawas robbed overnight

Three men have been arrested in connection with overnight robberies at three Wawas in the area.

Around 1:15 this morning, a man with a gun entered the Wawa at Rhawn Street and Roosevelt Boulevard in Rhawnhurst demanding money. Just minutes later, the Castor Gardens Wawa on the 6400-block of Bustleton Avenue by a man who took off in a car with four other people.

Around 2 a.m., police in Fox Chase spotted the getaway car from the second robbery. It was parked in front of the Wawa on the 7900-block of Oxford Avenue. The 7th District officer followed the car to the 400-block of Rhawn Street, where he pulled the men over.

Witnesses to the robberies ID’d the three suspects, who have since been taken into custody, but police believe the fourth man remains at large.
