Thousands of candles lit in remembrance of 9/11 victims in Lower Makefield
Thousands of people gathered last night in the Garden of Reflection in Lower Makefield to honor victims of the September 11 attacks by lighting 2,973 candles.
Newtown Patch reports the candles were lit for each victim of the attacks.
The vigil also featured clergy and patriotic songs.
Newtown Patch reports families of the victims in attendance put up photos and placed flowers below where the victim’s names were etched in glass.
The Garden of Reflection was designed as a place to honor the 18 Bucks County residents who lost their lives on September 11.
