Thief steals donations from Mt. Airy’s Krishna Temple

If there’s one thing that could give you bad karma this is it.  A thief broke into the Radha-Krishna Temple at 41 West Allens Lane last Friday night at stole money. The Krishna’s are all about being open and welcoming to people.

“It was pretty evident that the person knew the facility,” said resident Sara Adams. A police report indicates that the thief cleaned out two of the temple’s donation boxes.

A vase was also taken but it was later retrieved from the yard.

Residents believe that the perpetrator gained access by breaking the glass on a rear door and reaching in to turn the handle.

Adams said the incident has prompted discussion about ways to limit access or enhance security practices.
