Budgie Awards highlight the good, bad and ugly in last year’s budget process

Slip into your tux or evening gown and listen to It’s Our Money’s awards show, The Budgies. We highlight the best and worst of Philadelphia’s budget drama, which began back in March and  came to a close on June 30th.  You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll briefly consider moving to the suburbs.

We’ll be honoring those who tried to make the budget process what it should be – an opportunity for the public to give feedback on the use of taxpayer dollars, and for Council to grill department heads about how well they’re running the city.  We also point a finger at those who messed the whole thing up.
