The Dover swoosh

The City of Dover believes a distinctive logo could help market the capital city for its future.

The State News reports the Downtown Dover Partnership will hold a public hearing next Tuesday looking for input on what kind of logo it should create.

Bill Neaton, executive director of DDP is quoted by the paper saying, “we hope to come up with an identity that will utilize the downtown.”

The DDP is working the Delaware Department of Economic Development on a plan.  It has hired a marketing firm based in South Carolina that has also helped Milford, Milton, Middletown, Newark and Sussex County governments come up with similar logo marketing ideas.
