Teenager dies in taser incident
A teenager died yesterday after being tased by police.
The victim, 18-year-old Patrick Johnson, was in his home on the 6900-block of Souder Street reportedly trying to set tree branches on fire at the kitchen stove. Police has been called to the home 14 times this year, the Daily News reports.
Johnson lunged at the police twice, and was tasered. The second tase sent him to Nazareth Hospital, where he died at 1:10 p.m. His official cause of death has not been determined.
The victim’s family has said Johnson had the mental capacity of a young child.
